August 29, <\/strong>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> An international platform has documented testimonies of 2,700 victims of repression in Belarus, said opposition politician Franak Via\u010dorka, commenting to Pozirk<\/em> on \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja\u2019s meeting with activists of the platform in Denmark today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform cooperates with six European governments, he added. Cichano\u016dskaja encouraged activists to highlight the issue in international organizations amid an escalation of repression, according to Via\u010dorka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Established in 2021 on recommendations of the Moscow Mechanism of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the platform is supported by 14 countries and major Belarusian human rights organizations. It gathers evidence and testimonies and assists the United Nations and international courts handling Belarusian cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja and her associates also met with Christina Egelund, the Danish minister of education and science.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja and her husband Siarhiej Cichano\u016dski are staying in Denmark on August 28 and 29. The Belarusian politician is expected to take part in an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers later today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
