September 3, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> <\/em>At least 596 Belarusian nationals signed military service contracts with Russia to fight alongside Russian troops against Ukraine in the first half of 2025, reports the Ukrainian hochuzhit.com<\/a> service that helps Russian troops safely surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Ukrainian and Belarusian peoples have never been enemies. We have nothing to fight over,\u201d the initiative said, accusing Minsk of sacrificing the people to the Kremlin in exchange for the latter\u2019s support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not a single person was persecuted by Minsk for fighting on the Russian side in contrast to Belarusian volunteers who defend Ukraine and face heavy punishments in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
