{"id":153751,"date":"2025-09-04T11:27:12","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T08:27:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/153751\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","slug":"law-enforcers-allowed-to-restrict-access-to-online-content","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/153751\/","title":{"rendered":"Law enforcers allowed to restrict access to online content"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>September 4, <em>Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The government has authorized law enforcement agencies, alongside the information ministry, to restrict access to online content, says Directive No 476 published on the National Legal Internet Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The interior ministry, the Committee for State Security (KGB), the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office may now decide to move forward with the restrictions based on ongoing investigation or a criminal case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Internet service providers must restrict access to designated websites within four hours of the decision and inform users of the restriction &#8220;if technically possible,\u201d according to the directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Restrictions may last for up to six months, unless otherwise specified in the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the 2020 political crisis, authorities tightened control over online content.
