September 4, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Belarusian and Russian athletes have not yet been granted permission to participate in the 2026 Winter Paralympics, Pavel Rozhkov in charge of the Russian Paralympic Committee, told Russia\u2019s Sputnik<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The situation remains very complicated at the moment, unlike before the Paralympic Games in Paris ilast year, when there was permanent contact with the International Paralympic Committee, he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is still hope as the decision may be made at the last minute, the official added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games will be held in Italy from March 6 to 15, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus and Russia did not participate in the 2022 Winter Paralympics in Beijing as Moscow launched a full-scale war on Ukraine with Minsk’s support earlier that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight Belarusian swimmers were allowed to compete as neutrals in the Paralympic Games in Paris in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
