September 10, Pozirk. <\/strong>Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ry\u017eanko\u016d said that Belarus and Hungary are the only European countries that are \u201ctruly committed to the policy of free markets, equal conditions and principles of genuine partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made the remarks after negotiations with Hungary\u2019s top diplomat, P\u00e9ter Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3, state media reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Szijj\u00e1rt\u00f3 was in Minsk to participate in a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. Simultaneously, the Belarusian capital hosted a bilateral forum for businesspeople from the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ry\u017eanko\u016d said, \u201cWe have to take into account the sanctions imposed by EU countries on Belarus. However, today\u2019s business forum and the broad participation of Hungarian representatives demonstrate that businesses and people do not support these unjustified restrictions. Even under these circumstances, we can find opportunities to advance our relations and implement bilateral projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A European Union member, Hungary joined international sanctions against Minsk. However, it was the only EU country to hand Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka diplomatic credentials after what the EU called rigged 2020 vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
