September 10, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Core inflation, which does not include changes in prices of seasonal goods, volatile or controlled prices, accelerated to 7.7 percent in August, the Belarusian central bank reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core inflation has been rising since January, reaching 7.4 percent in June and 7.6 percent in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, the growth of fruit and vegetable prices slowed down to 6.6 percent, while the government-controlled prices and tariffs rose by 5.9 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumer prices fell by 0.3 percent in August but rose 5.3 percent since the start of the year and 7.2 percent in the 12 months through August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
