September 10, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Belarusian State Border Committee (SBC) has opened the Asarevi\u010dy border patrol station run by the Homiel Border Guard Group in the Brahin district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SBC Chairman Kanstancin Mo\u0142asta\u016d, Homiel Regional Executive Committee Chairman Ivan Krupko and Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s aide Rus\u0142an Parchamovi\u010d, an inspector for the Homiel region, attended the opening ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 29, Mo\u0142asta\u016d said that Belarus would put into operation six new border patrol stations with cantonments by the end of the year. The Asarevi\u010dy, he said today, was the third one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 20, the Homiel Border Guard Group opened the Siamiona\u016dka border patrol station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 11, the SBC announced the opening of the Naro\u016dla border patrol station at the Ukrainian border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 1,084.2-km-long Belarusian-Ukrainian border crosses the Chernobyl exclusion zone and covers several important rivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine, in which the Belarusian government sided with the Kremlin. Russian troops launched an offensive on Kyiv from Belarus.
