{"id":1550,"date":"2023-08-08T18:35:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T15:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=1550"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","slug":"polish-defense-minister-agrees-to-send-extra-troops-to-belarus-border","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/1550\/","title":{"rendered":"Polish defense minister agrees to send extra troops to Belarus border"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>August 8,&nbsp;<em>BPN.<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;Polish Defense Minister Mariusz B\u0142aszczak has granted a request by the the Polish Border Guard (SG) commander to send reinforcements to the frontier with Belarus,&nbsp;<em>PAP&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pap.pl\/aktualnosci\/news%2C1606164%2Cwiecej-zolnierzy-przy-granicy-polsko-bialoruskiej-decyzja-szefa-mon.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SG asked for additional 1,000 soldiers to be deployed to the frontier, citing a surge in hostile hybrid activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SG commander Tomasz Praga accused Belarusian officers of bringing illegal migrants to the border, and said that 19,000 attempts by migrants to sneak into the country have been registered this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Polish general said the Belarusian border guards have become a criminal group that profits from illegal migration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Migrants are not the only problem facing SG.
