{"id":155780,"date":"2025-09-16T18:51:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T15:51:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/155780\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"lower-house-moves-to-criminalize-unauthorized-drone-possession","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/155780\/","title":{"rendered":"Lower house moves to criminalize unauthorized drone possession"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>September 16, <em>Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>A bill to criminalize unauthorized drone possession and operation has passed its second reading in House of Representatives, the lower house of the Belarusian National Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If signed into law, the bill would introduce criminal punishment\u2014up to two years in prison\u2014for a repeat offense of import, possession, sale, manufacture and operation of civilian drones or aircraft models in breach of regulations banning civilians from handling unmanned aerial vehicles. The first violation would be treated as a minor offense punishable under the Code of Administrative Offenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill also proposes punishment for failure to follow correct procedures to register and operate civilian UAVs, the House of Representatives said in a post on Telegram. The offense would also be punishable under the Code of Administrative Offenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September 2023, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka issued an edict to prohibit individuals from importing, possessing, selling, making and operating civilian drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edict No 297 gave owners three months to hand over civilian UAVs and aircraft models to authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Companies were required to register their UAVs with the aviation authority within five working days from the day of import.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 16, Pozirk.
