September 24, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ry\u017eanko\u016d praised China’s Global Development Initiative at a high-level event during the United Nations General Assembly yesterday in New York, the foreign ministry\u2019s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The diplomat described the initiative as \u201can excellent example of China’s responsible leadership aimed at uniting the efforts of countries to solve common global problems and strengthen a fair multipolar world order.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ry\u017eanko\u016d also reportedly held talks with the foreign ministers of Angola, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mozambique, Oman and Zimbabwe on the sidelines of the General Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UN General Assembly has convened for its 80th session from September 23 to 29. Tomorrow\u2019s side event will focus on efforts to ensure accountability and restoration of the rule of law in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja is visiting the United States from September 22 to 25 and is expected to participate in the UN General Assembly’s events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
