The owners will also have to ensure their vehicles\u2019 compliance with Polish technical standards, which often requires expensive repairs or upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ministry said the proposed changes were primarily aimed at improving road safety and introducing a level playing field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the owners of Polish-registered cars are required to undergo regular checks, while cars from across the eastern border may drive unchecked for months or even years, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bill has been subjected to public discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, Lithuania and Latvia introduced restrictions on cars with Belarusian license plates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 24, Pozirk.
