{"id":157693,"date":"2025-09-29T19:21:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T16:21:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/157693\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","slug":"belarusian-archive-berlin-publisher-team-up-on-wwii-book","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/157693\/","title":{"rendered":"Belarusian archive, Berlin publisher team up on WWII book"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>September 29, <\/strong><em><strong>Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>The Belarusian <span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">Literature and Art Archive shared 86 digital document copies with the German publishing house Aufbau for the German translation of\u00a0<em>I Am from the Fire Village<\/em>\u00a0by Ale\u015b Adamovi\u010d, Janka Bryl,<\/span> and U\u0142adzimir Kale\u015bnik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The archive preserves the manuscript of a book published in Minsk in 1975 and featuring memoirs about the Nazi destruction of Belarusian villages, the archive\u2019s head Alena Makaranka has told journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is very important and \u201cclearly shows that even in these difficult times, there is a dialogue between colleagues,\u201d added Aleh Vojna\u016d of the department of archives and records management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aufbau, one of Berlin&#8217;s oldest publishing houses, published the German edition of Adamovi\u010d&#8217;s book, translated by Thomas Weiler, in November 2024.
