September 30, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> More than 90 percent of counterfeit goods are imported into Belarus from China, with the rest coming from Germany, Lithuania, and other countries, Alaksiej Kurman, head of the National Center for Intellectual Property, has told journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the reported property rights violations involved falsification of service marks and trademarks on consumer goods, including footwear, clothing, cosmetics, perfumes, motor oils and car parts, he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Belarusian authorities detected more than 70,000 counterfeit goods, nearly double the number recorded in 2023, said Dzianis Kar\u017eycki of the State Committee for Science and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official linked the increase to the seizure of large batches of medical products and e-cigarettes in 2024. Other counterfeit goods included alcoholic beverages, industrial equipment spare parts, packaging and labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
