{"id":157872,"date":"2025-09-30T19:29:02","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T16:29:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/157872\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"us-lists-belarus-among-countries-with-documented-human-trafficking-policy","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/157872\/","title":{"rendered":"US lists Belarus among countries with documented human trafficking policy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>September 30, <em>Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus is a country with a documented human trafficking policy or pattern, according to the \u201c2025 Trafficking in Persons Report\u201d by the US Department of State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As in the previous report, the list of countries where monitors detected \u201ctrafficking in government-funded programs, forced labor in government-affiliated medical services or other sectors, sexual slavery in government camps, or the employment or recruitment of child soldiers\u201d includes Afghanistan, Iran, China, North Korea, Cuba, Russia, Syria (\u201cthe Assad regime\u201d), Sudan, Eritrea and South Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkmenistan was deleted from the list, while Cambodia was added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarus and 19 other countries or territories (Afghanistan, Venezuela, Iran, Cambodia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Laos, Macau, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Sint Maarten, Syria, Sudan, Chad, Eritrea and South Sudan) were placed in Tier 3, the lowest group that may be subject to significant restrictions on foreign aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These countries allegedly do not comply with the minimum standards set forth in the US Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report noted that appropriate restrictions will take effect on October 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The State Department will post a full PDF version of the report later, which, like previous reports, may contain more detailed information on individual countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 30, Pozirk.
