October 7, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has stated in Paris that the fight must go on until all political prisoners are released, according to the press office of the Belarusian opposition leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNever before has Belarus held such a prominent place in France\u2019s foreign policy, and cooperation between the Belarusian pro-democracy forces and France has never been as close as it is now,\u201d Cichano\u016dskaja said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the third meeting of the parliamentary groups alliance For a Democratic Belarus, hosted by the National Assembly, Cichano\u016dskaja praised France for protecting the European Union from \u201cthe pressure of dictators and the cynicism of realpolitik.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pavie\u0142 \u0141atu\u0161ka, a close ally of Cichano\u016dskaja, called on the National Assembly president to support a case against Belarusian officials at the International Criminal Court. \u0141atu\u0161ka stressed the importance of bringing members of Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s regime to justice for crimes against humanity. He also accused Belarus\u2019 top military and political leadership of complicity in the Russian war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
