Charges against him included violent disorder, high treason and association with extremist and terrorist groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian authorities continued using extremist designations to silence critical voices, with 27 individuals branded as \u201cinvolved in extremist activities,\u201d <em>Pozirk <\/em>reported. The total on the official register rose to 5,875 entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Committee for State Security (KGB) also designated Femgroup Belarus as an \u201cextremist\u201d group, listing sociologist Alena Ahare\u0142y\u0161ava, philosopher Volha \u0160paraha and Julija Mickievi\u010d of the opposition transition cabinet as members, <em>Pozirk <\/em>reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rights groups added 18 new names to their political prisoners list.
