October 17, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka is not forever, and the Belarusian people will always want to live in a free, prosperous, democratic and European country, \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja told ambassadors from more than 20 EU countries in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMany within the system understand that \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s time is running out. When the moment comes, there will be only two paths: to remain under Russia\u2019s control or to move toward the European Union. Our goal is to make the European perspective realistic and to offer it as an alternative to the \u2018Russian world,\u2019\u201d the Belarusian opposition leader said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja\u2019s two-day visit to the Netherlands began today. Her chief adviser, Franak Via\u010dorka, told Pozirk <\/em>that the politician will hold meetings in The Hague and Amsterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, the Party of European Socialists (PES) announced Cichano\u016dskaja as speaker at its annual congress in Amsterdam. European Council President Ant\u00f3nio Costa, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S\u00e1nchez and German Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil were also expected to address the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides, Cichano\u016dskaja was scheduled to meet with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Foreign Minister David van Weel and members of the Belarusian diaspora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
