October 22, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarusian officials did not inform their Lithuanian colleagues about the cigarette-smuggling balloons flying to Lithuania last night, said Vladislav Kondratovi\u010d, the interior minister of the Baltic state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Delfi<\/em>, the minister recalled that Polish officials had received warnings from Belarus about drones approaching their country (nineteen Russian drones flew into Poland on September 10).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Lithuanians see no efforts in progress to prevent such violations, Kondratovi\u010d said. They do not claim that Belarusian authorities are involved in them, but they do not hear about any effort that would result in arrests or other measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kondratovi\u010d described the overnight closure of the Medininkai and \u0160al\u010dininkai checkpoints on October 22 as a warning to Belarus about possible illegal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
