There has also been a \u201csignificant increase\u201d in the number of workers from India and Nepal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official noted that expats from the Eurasian Economic Union, which does not include the aforementioned countries, have equal employment rights with Belarusians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Migrant workers are predominantly men, with the majority (71.7 percent) employed in trades. About 70 percent of foreigners work in Minsk and the Minsk region, where \u201cthe shortage of personnel is most acute,\u201d according to Astrejka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, the labor ministry updated the list of positions available for the simplified employment of foreigners in 2026. The list includes 29 trades and 17 professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To hire foreigners for positions on the list, the employer just needs to notify police, while in other cases employers require special permits and proof of absence of Belarusian applicants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 29, Pozirk.
