November 1, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Moscow and Minsk continue to threaten Europe with the possible deployment of the Oreshnik missile system in Belarus, the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cISW continues to assess that Russia is using the Oreshnik as part of a reflexive control campaign and ongoing nuclear saber rattling aimed at undermining Western resolve to militarily support Ukraine,\u201d the analysis reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visiting the Viciebsk region\u2019s Lepel district on Friday, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka reiterated Belarus\u2019 plans to host the Russian Oreshnik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strongman called the system a disastrous weapon. \u201cIt will enter combat duty in December,\u201d he said. \u0141uka\u0161enka explained that his goal is to signal to the adversary that he and his ally Vladimir Putin may decide to \u201cstrike if it gets bad.\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t mess with us,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
