November 4, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian Prime Minister Alaksandar Tur\u010dyn has conveyed Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s best wishes to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a meeting in Astana, Tur\u010dyn said Minsk closely follows the progress of Kazakhstan and rejoices at its success. The country has demonstrated sustainable economic growth for a long time, he asserted. \u201cAs you rightly said, today our mutual trade turnover is growing,\u201d the premier noted, according to Tokayev\u2019s press office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said the meeting discussed the prospects of trade, economic, industrial, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tokayev said he considers Tur\u010dyn\u2019s first official visit to his country \u201ca confirmation of the special nature of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Belarus and of the firm commitment to its further development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president stressed the importance of the visit, given the level of cooperation between the two states and the content of these ties. He also praised bilateral trade, estimating it at between $900 million and $1 billion. Tokayev said that, as far as he knows, Kazakhstan is Belarus\u2019 second-largest trading partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expressed great sympathy and respect for Belarus and its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
