November 26, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ry\u017eanko\u016d and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov agreed to coordinate efforts to counter what they described as NATO\u2019s \u201chostile policies,\u201d the Belarusian foreign ministry reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foreign ministries board meeting also discussed joint actions against \u201cneo-colonialism, including at the United Nations,\u201d implementation of the bilateral security guarantees deal and countering \u201chybrid aggression, including sanctions, legal and information pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The information war targeting Belarus and Russia is not abating but is \u201ctaking on increasingly unceremonious and sophisticated forms,\u201d Ry\u017eanko\u016d said, accusing the West of making a \u201cdisastrous mistake\u201d by choosing a course of confrontation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia\u2019s war on Ukraine serves to ensure \u201cthe legitimate interests of Russians and Russian speakers in Ukraine,\u201d the Russian Foreign Ministry quoted Ry\u017eanko\u016d as saying yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
