However, the agreed services were not provided, while the suspects divided the funds transferred as payments, they noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities have filed criminal charges of embezzlement through abuse of official authority. If convicted, the suspects could face up to 12 years in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 300 people were convicted of corruption crimes in the first half of 2025, 7.3 percent fewer than in the same period last year, according to&nbsp;<em>Pozirk<\/em>\u2019s analysis of data by the Belarusian Supreme Court.
