December 3, <\/strong>Pozirk.<\/strong><\/em> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka and Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during talks in Algiers, agreed to boost trade between the two countries tenfold to $500 million within two years, the Belarusian leader\u2019s press office reported.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka suggested building a plant in Oman to produce fertilizers from phosphates mined in Algeria, noting that Minsk could share the technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlgeria needs very much our agricultural equipment and agricultural technologies,\u201d the Belarusian ruler is quoted as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also offered to supply Algeria with Belarusian meat and milk products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the talks, the delegations signed a joint statement on friendship and partnership, a cooperation roadmap for 2026-27, a military-technical cooperation agreement, accords on the protection of animals and research and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Algiers on December 3, \u0141uka\u0161enka visited the National Museum of Martyrs and laid flowers at the Monument of Glory and Martyrdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian leader has left Algeria, according to his press office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka left Belarus on November 26 for Kyrgyzstan, to attend the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization\u2019s summit. From there, he flew to Myanmar before starting a four-day visit to Oman and then traveled to Algeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pavie\u0142 \u0141atu\u0161ka, a former diplomat turned opposition politician, classified the tour as \u201cprivate,\u201d noting that no state flags were displayed during the meeting of \u0141uka\u0161enka and his two sons with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Algiers, the Belarusian ruler flew back to Muscat for a number of non-public meetings and final talks with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, his press office said.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
