December 11, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Western countries are trying “to preserve the parasitic model of globalization, a carbon copy of their colonial past,\u201d Belarusian Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin has told participants in a conference on genocide in Minsk, the ministry\u2019s press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their tactics span political and economic pressure, incitement of interethnic conflicts and even military interventions. However, these attempts to “subjugate the global majority are backfiring, weakening their internal stability,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official accused European powers of misleading their own citizens amid political and economic crises, inciting Russophobia and orchestrating provocations and diversions along the EU\u2019s external borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chrenin suggested these actions are meant to convince Europeans that a new major European war is inevitable. However, he did not address Belarus\u2019 support for Russia\u2019s war in Ukraine nor the tensions with its western neighbors over what they describe as hybrid attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official called for a concerted effort by \u201call progressive forces of humanity to counter the spread of the most inhumane practices and the revanchist ambitions of the European \u2018war party.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Belarusian authorities keep supporting the Kremlin in its war against Ukraine, grounded in Moscow\u2019s denial of Ukrainian statehood and the existence of Ukrainians as a people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
