December 23,<\/strong> Pozirk<\/em>.<\/em> <\/strong>\u201cLarge-scale migration flows affect the labor market, social stability and national security,\u201d says the Belarusian government\u2019s five-year economic plan for 2026-30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan was approved by the All-Belarusian People\u2019s Assembly on December 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBelarus faces the same challenges: a weaker demographic potential, a reduction in the number of employed and a misbalance of labor force in terms of professional skills,\u201d the paper says, as quoted by state media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key risks include poor export diversification and the prevalence of raw materials in commodity exports, with high-tech goods accounting for just 5.4 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government plans to grow exports by 20 percent within five years, including by increasing sales in Asia, Africa and America to 30 percent of the total trade in 2030 from 19.1 percent in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exports of food and agricultural products are slated to rise to at least $10 billion a year in 2030 through expansion to new markets and an increase in sales of meat and dairy products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The paper does not mention western markets in the context of trade diversification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
