January<\/strong> 10, Pozirk<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em><\/strong> Unit 2 of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant in Astraviec has been reconnected to the grid after nuclear rods replacement, said the country\u2019s energy ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planned maintenance lasted 57 days, since November 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosatom commissioned the plant in Astraviec, Hrodna region, in the fall of 2023. Unit 1 has supplied electricity to the grid since November 2020, and Unit 2 since May 2023. The units began commercial operation in June 2021 and November 2023, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government plans to build a third unit and connect it to the greed between 2035 and 2038.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
