January 10, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Georgia expelled five Belarusian men in the first three quarters of 2025, according to Pozirk\u2019s<\/em> analysis of data from the Georgian police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The country ruled by pro-Russian oligarch\u2019s Georgian Dream party did not expel Belarusians in 2024 and 2022, and forced one Belarusian national out of the country each year in 2023, 2021 and 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first three quarters of 2025, seven Belarusians applied for asylum in Georgia. Georgian authorities rejected 16 asylum requests from Belarusians in that period. In all, Georgia has rejected at least 72 asylum requests from Belarusians since 2019. Not a single application has been granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
