{"id":171973,"date":"2026-01-16T19:04:40","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T16:04:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/171973\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"six-men-including-belarusian-to-be-tried-in-lithuania-on-terrorism-charges","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/171973\/","title":{"rendered":"Six men, including Belarusian, to be tried in Lithuania on terrorism charges"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>January<\/strong><strong> 16,<\/strong><em> <\/em><strong><em>Pozirk<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong> Six men, including one Belarusian, will be put on trial in Lithuania on terrorism charges over failed attempts to set fire to equipment in \u0160iauliai that was to be sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators accuse the suspects, including two Spanish nationals and a Russian, of planning two arson attacks on TVC Solutions mobile radiofrequency analysis stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In one incident on September 17, 2024, the two Spanish nationals brought some inflammable materials to the company\u2019s storage area but did not attack the equipment because there were passersby at the location. The men immediately fled to Riga but were arrested there by Lithuanian and Latvian security agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five days later, the Belarusian and the Russian arrived from Spain and attempted to set the equipment on fire, but failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators also arrested a Cuban national on suspicion that she arrived in \u015aiauliai to assess the damage from the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Spain in May 2025, police arrested a Columbian man allegedly responsible for financing the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspects are held in police custody in Lithuania.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>January 16, Pozirk.
