January 20, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>All facilities at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant were connected to Ukraine’s unified power grid this afternoon after a temporary loss of off-site power caused by a Russian attack, said Sergiy Tarakanov, Chernobyl plant director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radiation safety indicators at the plant \u201cdo not exceed control levels,” he added.\u00a0\u201cThe plant has a sufficient number of backup power sources. At this time, there is no threat to the environment or the population.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
