January 28, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Belarusian car market expanded by 14 percent, with 158,700 vehicles registered in 2025, including 74,800 new cars and 83,900 used cars, BAA Consult Director D\u017amitryj Jarota has told journalists in Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The executive linked the expansion to rising incomes, increased availability of car loans and price stability. The Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA) classifies as new vehicles that are less than 24 months old when they receive a vehicle registration certificate in Belarus. Vehicles older than two years fall into a different category, he clarified. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individuals imported and registered 98,500 vehicles last year, a 19-percent increase compared to 2024, accounting for 62 percent of the market. Legal entities registered 31,400 vehicles, up 1 percent year on year, holding nearly a 20-percent market share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian-Chinese carmaker BelGee sold 28,800 vehicles, 14 percent more than in 2024, and accounted for about 18 percent of the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imports of new cars surged by 31.5 percent, Jarota said, noting that legal entities preferred to purchase cars from China (62 percent of the total number), Russia (35 percent) and Germany (1.3 percent). Individuals brought cars from China (64.4 percent), United States (9.4 percent) and Germany (8 percent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
