February 1, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Poland detected objects resembling balloons in its airspace overnight as Belarus again sought to probe the country\u2019s air defence systems, marking the second such incident in two consecutive days and the third over the past week, the Polish Armed Forces Operational Command said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overflights were tracked by military radars and posed no threat to the security of Polish airspace, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, Polish authorities temporarily restricted civil aviation flights in the Podlaskie voivodeship in the eastern part of the country for safety reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Poland\u2019s foreign ministry summoned Belarus\u2019 charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires to demand explanations over the incursion of around 150 balloons into Polish airspace on January 17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balloon incursions have previously caused tensions between Belarus and Lithuania. In late 2025, Vilnius declared an \u201cextreme situation,\u201d a low-level emergency, in response to what it described as a \u201chybrid attack from Belarus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
