February 3, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Viciebsk region in northern Belarus \u201cneeds a clear, specific and feasible step-by-step anti-crisis plan,\u201d Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has told senior officials and bank executives at a meeting in Minsk that focused on the region’s development, his press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian ruler described today’s meeting as a follow-up to a similar meeting three months ago, when he criticized the Viciebsk region\u2019s poor economic performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the politician called for an assessment of any positive changes following the appointment of Alaksandar Raho\u017enik, former Belarusian envoy to Russia, as chairman of the Viciebsk Regional Executive Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDecisions must be made. If you make a mistake, we will fix it,” he told Raho\u017enik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Viciebsk region fared worse than the other five Belarusian regions last year,\u00a0according to Pozirk<\/em>\u2019s analysis of the National Statistical Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
