February 5, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Officials and law enforcers are currently conducting an inspection at the Homiel Starting Engines Plant, producing diesel engines and agricultural equipment parts, after employees filed a group complaint, a source, who wished to remain anonymous, has told Pozirk<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The employees condemned \u201carbitrariness of the self-proclaimed lord,\u201d referring to the plant director Alaksandar Ksiandzo\u016d, who is also serving on the Homiel City Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Petitioners accused the executive of causing 700,000 rubels (more than $243,000) in damages through fraud, claiming he halted the assembly of four irrigation systems in the Brest region\u2019s Pinsk district and pointing to potential criminal offenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The letter also highlighted violations of workers\u2019 rights. According to the authors, employees who take sick leaves with high fever risk losing bonuses. \u201cOnly death can be a valid reason for not showing up for work,\u201d they said, describing work conditions at the plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The industry ministry will reportedly be informed of the inspection results before February 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
