February<\/strong> 9, <\/strong>Pozirk<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em><\/strong> <\/strong>The Committee for State Security (KGB) has added nine individuals to its list of \u201cpersons involved in terrorist activity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Via\u010deslav Pap\u0161o is a Lithuanian released among 123 prisoners in December in a deal between Minsk and Washington.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ta\u0107ciana \u0160\u010datko and Alaksandar Chazieje\u016d were convicted of calling for sanctions, while the rest \u2013 Alaksandar Vajtko, Siarhiej Pachoma\u016d, Ja\u016dhien Doracha\u016d, Kanstancin Bojka, Pap\u0161o, U\u0142adzis\u0142a\u016d Sinkievi\u010d and D\u017amitryj Danil\u010dyk \u2013 were convicted of inciting hatred, a charge that authorities routinely use to silence critics of the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danil\u010dyk is listed as a political prisoner by human rights organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vajtko is also listed as an extremist by the interior ministry and is serving a prison sentence. \u0160\u010datko appears to be serving a sentence in home confinement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrorist designation requires banks to freeze the designated persons\u2019 accounts. The designees cannot conduct any wireless cash transactions through banks and the post office. They cannot receive money transfers in prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
