February 10, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Core inflation, which does not include changes in prices of seasonal goods, volatile or controlled prices, decreased to 6.9 percent in the 12 months to January from 7.3 percent in the 12 months to December, the Belarusian central bank reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The core inflation had been rising since January 2025, reaching 7.7 percent in August and decelerating to 7.1 percent in October and 7 percent in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, fruit and vegetable prices growth slowed down to 3.7 percent after posting a rise of 12.7 percent rise in November and 10 percent increase in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government-controlled prices and tariffs increased by 6.6 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aggregate indicator of trend inflation, which represents inflation free of the influence of various shocks, rose by 6 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumer prices climbed 6 percent in the 12 months to January, with a 0.5-percent increase posted in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
