February 11, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has described the recent violent crackdown on protests in Iran as “a test of maturity\u201d for the country’s authorities in his congratulatory message to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPreserving constitutional order in difficult times demonstrates the responsibility of the leadership and the ability of Iranians to defend their choice, not allowing external forces to impose their will,\u201d the Belarusian ruler\u2019s press office quoted the message as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIran continues to follow its path, demonstrating progress and loyalty to traditional spiritual values amid regional military escalation and a fierce confrontation with those who apply double standards,\u201d it reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mass protests erupted in Iran in December 2025 as a response to the country\u2019s economic crisis, yet soon escalated into widespread demands for the ouster of the government by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protests spread to all major Iranian cities, and authorities resorted to violence to suppress them. Estimates of the death toll vary, but it is believed to be in the thousands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
