February 11, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ry\u017eanko\u016d will represent Belarus at the Board of Peace meeting in Washington on February 19, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka’s spokeswoman Natalla Ejsmant said, citing a late invitation to the Belarusian ruler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are considering potential logistical challenges caused by illegal sanctions, particularly from the European Union, including the closure of the EU airspace,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official stressed that Minsk fully supports the commitment of US President Donald Trump and the Board of Peace to resolve all global conflicts through peaceful means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board of Peace was originally conceived of as a way to implement part of the Gaza ceasefire plan. But Trump and his officials suggested it will work on a range of global issues, with the US president saying it has the potential to be \u201cone of the most consequential bodies ever created.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
