February 12<\/strong> Pozirk.<\/strong> <\/em>Foreign companies invested $7.6 billion in Belarus\u2019 economy last year, 10.1 percent more than in 2024, according to Pozirk<\/em>\u2019s analysis of the National Statistical Committee\u2019s (Bie\u0142stat) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign direct investment totaled $5.4 billion, up 3.8 percent year on year, accounting for 71 percent of all investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus also invested $6 billion abroad, with investments rising 22.4 percent from 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the second consecutive year, Bie\u0142stat has not disclosed any details on the countries of origin or destination for investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Russia consolidated its status as Belarus\u2019 key partner, Belarusian Prime Minister Alaksandar Tur\u010dyn said earlier this month. \u201cRussian investors accounted for about 60 percent of all foreign direct investment,\u201d the official said. \u201cFor its part, Belarus is increasing its investment in Russia\u2019s economy at an even faster pace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
