February 15, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Budget cuts at the Czech foreign ministry will not affect support for the Belarusian opposition, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka told Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Czech diplomat reaffirmed the country\u2019s readiness to further deepen cooperation with pro-democracy forces, the Czech foreign ministry said in a statement, commenting on the meeting held at the Munich Security Conference yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also focused on the current situation in Belarus, releases of jailed dissidents, support for the Belarusian diaspora and the activities of the Prague-based office of the Belarusian pro-democracy forces, Cichano\u016dskaja\u2019s press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian politician urged the Czech authorities to consider increasing the number of visas issued to Belarusian nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
