February 16, Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>Several military units of the Western Operational Command have been placed on a combat readiness alert as part of the ongoing drill, the defense ministry\u2019s press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The units will focus on improving survivability during active operations, including against threats from sabotage and reconnaissance teams of a mock enemy and drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exercise will also make it possible to assess combat and mobilization readiness, commanders\u2019 ability to manage subordinate units and the condition of weapons, military and special equipment, the ministry noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Troops are expected to refresh their skills and knowledge through training in combat disciplines, including firefighting and medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, the 6th<\/sup> Detached Guards Mechanized Brigade, conducting drills as part of a comprehensive readiness check, called up reserve officers for training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ongoing drill was ordered by Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka on January 16 and is expected to last until spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian army is frequently conducting drills amid tensions with the West and Russia\u2019s full-scale war against Ukraine, in which Minsk supports Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
