February 16, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> \u201cNo force in the world\u201d can separate Belarus from Russia, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has told Sergei Glazyev, state secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, at their meeting in Minsk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some in Russia believe efforts are being made to separate both countries, \u201ccircumstances have brought us together, probably for many, many decades and centuries,\u201d Pul Pervogo<\/em>, the Belarusian ruler\u2019s unofficial Telegram channel, quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The politician made this statement after Russia\u2019s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) accused the West of intentions to weaken the ties between Minsk and Moscow within the Union State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka also announced his intentions to \u201cdiscuss with the leadership of the United States of America\u201d the capture of Venezuelan ruler Nicolas Maduro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey carried out some kind of operation, captured a man. So what? They showed the whole world who’s who. And most importantly, what next? I have suggestions on how to get out of this situation. And if they want to get out of this situation with dignity and grace, we are ready to work with [US President] Donald [Trump] in this regard,\u201d \u0141uka\u0161enka said, stressing that both he and the American leader are \u201dpragmatic people.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The politician also commented on Trump’s Board of Peace initiative, reaffirming Belarus\u2019 intentions to participate in it. \u201cPerhaps not in Washington, but somewhere in Europe or the Middle East, perhaps in Israel, closer to here, in Turkey, other meetings of this board. . .  We want peace. And above all, where our destiny lies, in Ukraine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine in which the Belarusian authorities supported the Kremlin, allowing Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions and supplying arms to Moscow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
