{"id":176283,"date":"2026-02-19T11:25:19","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T08:25:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/176283\/"},"modified":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-10T12:05:06","slug":"reprisals-four-in-minsk-imprisoned-over-links-to-solidarity-initiative","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/176283\/","title":{"rendered":"Reprisals: four in Minsk imprisoned over links to solidarity initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>February 19, Pozirk.<\/strong> New cases of politically-motivated persecution were documented in Belarus on February 17 and 18 as the Supreme Court upheld the prison sentences for four Minsk residents over the alleged links to the BySol solidarity fund, the Prosecutor General\u2019s Office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A judge in Viciebsk sentenced former policeman Maksim Siamitka to three years of restricted freedom in an open-type correctional facility on extremism-related charges in early February, the Homiel branch of the Viasna Human Rights Center said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Extremist designations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The information ministry announced extremist content designations&nbsp;for<em> ByLOL<\/em> on YouTube; <em>belarusnovosti2<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>igorkuley<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>alex_anderlukashenko1954<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>BGmedia | Brest | Novosti <\/em>on Threads, <em>Bie\u0142aruskaja Afi\u0161a <\/em>on Telegram, <em>Belarus | Bez Filtrov<\/em> on TikTok and <em>FreeViasna<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>alex_anderlukashenko1954<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>auhen-_sidoryk<\/em> and&nbsp;<em>dimaradzievsky <\/em>on Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three days ago, a judge in Hrodna designated a satanist logo as extremist content, citing its recent use to threaten terrorist attacks in schools and to promote murder, violence, cruelty and suicide, Viasna said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka appointed several judges in the Viciebsk region: Iryna \u017darava to the \u0160umilina District Court, Ta\u0107ciana Kuklina to the Navapo\u0142ack District Court and Iryna Jaskievi\u010d to the Miory District Court.
