February 26, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> A Minsk judge sentenced a former deputy head of the Minsk Agency for State Registration and Land Cadastre to five years in prison on charges of receiving a bribe and abusing power, the Supreme Court’s press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man, whose name was not disclosed, was also fined 90,000 rubles (more than $31,600) and prohibited from holding managerial, administrative or economic positions for five years. Authorities also confiscated his smartphone and collected 1,398 rubles as compensation for illegally obtained income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defendant reportedly agreed, no later than December 2023, to share pictures of \u201ctitle documents for real estate properties\u201d with a representative of real estate organization for a fee of $10 per photo. Between December 2023 and April 2025, the man sent photographs of documents for at least 582 properties. In return, he reportedly received at least 16,400 rubels in bribes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
