February 27, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Belarus recorded a slowdown in inflation in February to 0.2 percent during \u201cthe time elapsed,\u201d Raman Ha\u0142o\u016d\u010danka, head of the central bank, said on February 27, apparently referring to the first three weeks of the month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is much lower than a year earlier [1.3 percent in February 2025],\u201d he said, noting that deflationary factors outweighed inflationary ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inflation in Belarus was higher in 2025 due to elevated inflation in Russia and rising incomes and wages, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe inflation situation is quite good now,\u201d Ha\u0142o\u016d\u010danka said. \u201cWe have no doubts that the 7-percent target for overall inflation and the 5-percent target for core inflation will be met.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
