March 1, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>No one escapes justice, as proven by the recent events in Iran, Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has said following reports of Iran’s longtime ruler Ali Khamenei’s death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khamenei, who was in power for almost four decades, was killed in joint Israeli-United States strikes on Iran on February 28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPower built on violence, repression and terror always collapses in the end,\u201d Cichano\u016dskaja noted on X. \u201cThe courage of the Iranian people will outlive the murderous regime. Freedom will win.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusians stand in solidarity with the free people of Iran, not with the oppressive regime, she stressed yesterday, following reports of strikes on Iranian territory. \u201cThe Iranian people deserve peace, full respect for human rights and long-awaited freedom,\u201d Cichano\u016dskaja said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian foreign ministry issued a statement yesterday, expressing concerns over \u201cescalation of the situation between Israel and Iran, which has also affected friendly Gulf countries.\u201d The ministry and Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka have not commented on Khamenei\u2019s death yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Military actions in the Middle East intensified yesterday amid stalled negotiations over Iran\u2019s nuclear program, as Washington pressed Tehran to curb its nuclear activities and address concerns over its enrichment and uranium stockpile, while Iranian officials maintained they would not accept US demands without significant concessions on sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The heavy and pinpoint bombing\u201d of Iran will \u201ccontinue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary,” US President Donald Trump has said on\u00a0Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
