Belarusian women are not yet protected by proper laws against domestic violence and are often left one-on-one with misfortune. And yet women are still greeted [on Women\u2019s Day] with the words \u2018you are our decoration.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marta Kos, the European commissioner for enlargement, named Cichano\u016dskaja among the women who inspire her in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarus&#8217; authoritarian ruler Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, in his message, thanked women for \u201ccreating harmony and coziness, giving [men] warmth and comfort and inspiring us men to create.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He described women \u201ctender and strong, considerate and careful, charming and wise,\u201d adding that they are \u201cthe most treasured in our life.\u201d <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 8, Pozirk.
