March 23, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has expressed willingness to strengthen ties with Pakistan in his congratulatory messages to Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Pakistan Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus highly values its relations with Pakistan, which are \u201cbased on the principles of mutual respect and cooperation,\u201d his press office quoted the message. \u0141uka\u0161enka said he hopes that \u201cthrough joint efforts, we will be able to implement the agreements reached earlier.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian ruler visited Islamabad in November 2024, where he negotiated dozens of bilateral documents, including an intergovernmental agreement on international road transportation of passengers and cargoes, exempting carriers from customs duties, taxes and fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A year ago, \u0141uka\u0161enka and Sharif discussed establishing a mechanism to bring up to 150,000 Pakistani workers to address labor shortages exacerbated by emigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, earlier this month, Pakistan\u2019s Emigration and Employment Office removed all Belarus-related construction jobs from its website after no applications were submitted for four months, Pozirk<\/em> found through an analysis of the agency\u2019s data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
