March 23, Pozirk. <\/em><\/strong>Belarusian law enforcers accused executives of a large Minsk-based taxi company with 800 employees of tax evasion, the interior ministry reports, without specifying the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO, who also owns the firm, and his assistant allegedly evaded taxes in 2024\u20132025 by paying drivers in cash under the guise of compensation for vehicle use and operational expenses, investigators said. They added that the taxable amounts were understated through the fictitious inflation of fuel costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four managers and the chief accountant were reportedly involved in the scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unpaid taxes totaled about 800,000 rubels (nearly $266,000), investigators said, adding that the proceeds were converted into cash and used to buy real estate. Authorities seized assets obtained through criminal activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
