March 27, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>The Cyberpartisans hacktivist group has claimed responsibility for breaking into the website management system of the National Library of Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group said in its Telegram channel that it posted the message \u201c\u017dyvie Bie\u0142aru\u015b!\u201d (Long Live Belarus!) \u2013 banned by the government several years ago \u2013 to mark the anniversary of Belarus\u2019 short-lived independence in 1918.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group recalled that the library\u2019s construction had been ordered by Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka and financed partly through compulsory donations from people. \u201cTherefore, one of the key elements of education was disgraced by the regime as a symbol of its capability to achieve its goals through oppression rather than cooperation,\u201d the group noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building was commissioned in Minsk in 2006. Pro-Russian propagandist Vadzim Hihin has been in charge of it since 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
